Bag-A-Bargain

The Junior League of Johnson City’s major fundraiser, Bag-A-Bargain, has been helping to serve the community in various ways since the first sale occurred in November of 1992.  Originally held in November at Freedom Hall in Johnson City, Bag-A-Bargain was moved to the month of April and held at Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray since 2001.  Because of the change in location, Bag-A-Bargain merchandise is easier to locate and shopping is more comfortable for attendees.  Every year over 400 households and merchants donate gently used or new goods to the Junior League of Johnson City for us to provide high quality merchandise at low prices.  Many of the items available each year include: appliances, accessories, sporting goods, furniture, linens, housewares, electronics, clothing and shoes for the whole family, toys, baby equipment, books, CD’s and videos.  All proceeds from the sale benefit projects supported by the Junior League of Johnson City. 

Look for the next Bag-A-Bargain sale in the Spring of 2005.
