The Junior League of Johnson City uses only the following criteria for consideration of prospective members:

1. Prospective members shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age as of June 1st.

2. Prospective members shall reside in the Johnson City area.

3. Candidates shall possess an interest in voluntarism and development of personal potential, a commitment to community service, and voluntary community participation.

4. There shall be no deliberative process in the admission system.

5. All prospective members shall be informed of their prospective membership.
