The Junior League of Johnson City has two wonderful cookbooks you can use to experience the flavors of the Smokies. They are perfect for the person who enjoys good old’ down-home cookin’.
Smoky Mountain Magic has over 370 pages of easy to follow Tennessee recipes, including a homemade canning section, magical remedies for what ails you, a calorie guide, and quantity buying guides. It was originally published in November of 1960. Smokey Mountain Magic is the recipient of the prestigious Tabasco Award for cookbooks.
Our newest cookbook, Treasures of the Smokies, has more than 1,200 tried and true Southern favorites. Treasurers features a light and lean section, recommended wine lists, symbols to denote quick and easy recipes and great ideas for entertaining. This cookbook was originally published in October of 1986. It is available for $18.95 plus tax.
